Named after the destructive form of Lord Shiva, Bhairav Kunda is located near the Nepal- Tibet border at an altitude of 4,240 m in Sindhupalchok district. This place is visited by thousands of followers of Hinduism and Buddhism religions during the festival in the month of Bhadra (August) during the full moon to pray and cleanse in the holy pond.
Apart from the religious attraction, this trek offers majestic views of Rolwaling range, Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Madiya (6,257m), Phurbi Ghhyachu (6,637m), Jugal Himal and the magnificent Tibetan Himalayan range. You can also observe close-up views of different Tibetan plateaus and Glaciers.
