Experience nature and culture of Maya’s village in Sindhupalchok district of Nepal.
Sindhupalchok district is close to Nepal’s capital Kathmandu but is one of the least developed districts in Nepal. This means the region is still blessed with pristine wilderness, enjoys authentic local culture but needs much work towards development indicators like education and empowerment. EWT welcomes you to this unique Nepali experience. During this week you can trek along the villages, visit schools and contribute both as a tourist and a volunteer. Add daily dose of yoga to this mix and make the most out of this nature trip. The Arniko Highway, also called Kathmandu-Kodari Highway, (114 km) extending from Kathmandu to Kodari links this district with Tibet. The district is hilly with close-up views of high mountains and rich in natural resources. The district is easily accessible from Kathmandu along off-road jeep tracks. The Bhote Koshi, Indrawati, Sun Kosi and Bramhayani rivers flow through this district.
